Obituary for James Boyce

BOYCE, James David, Born February 26, 1956, passed away suddenly in Sarnia, Ontario on July 31st, 2023.

Jim will be dearly missed by those who knew him from the biking community, car enthusiasts and coffee mornings at Tim Horton’s.

He was always willing and ready to help anyone who needed it, including rides to the airport, helping get a bike home or repaired if it broke down, or helping a neighbour get their lawnmower from being stuck in the ditch while mowing. He loved dogs and was always ready to greet them with treats, whether they needed them or not.

Over his lifetime, his work places and personal life would lead him to knowing and becoming friends with many people in all parts of the country.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ron and Marg Boyce.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barb. Also by his children, Jenn (Chad), Michael (Sam) and grandchildren, Valeryk and Sierra. Also by his brother, Ron (Sue), Peter (Lani), Tommy (Kelly) and sister, Leslie (Jim). He was loved and will be missed by many nieces and nephews and by those who received daily calls, texts and drop-ins from him.

He will be forever remembered by Barb, the love of his life, who shared his love for whatever next adventure came along and always being her rock.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Children’s Wish foundation, the MacLean Cemetery, or a charity of your choice (cheques only at the Smith funeral home please).
