Obituary for
L. Brian Lindsay
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Leo Lindsay, age 68, loving husband to Debbie (MacPhee) Lindsay of Belmont on August 9, 2023, at home.
Brian is lovingly remembered as Deb’s Side kick. Brian and Deb started dating when Deb was thirteen and Brian, fifteen. They have stuck together through thick and thin, the good times and especially the bad, but always came out the other side together and stronger.
Brian was a Wood’s man by trade, but a Jack-of-all-trades at home and at their camp. He really enjoyed his weekends and friends at the camp, but one of Brian’s most prized treasures was his fur daughter, Missy.
Brian’s favourite words to hear were, “Grump” or “Bump” because he knew that his grandsons were there. His precious treasures in life were his three grandsons, Landen, Kolby and Josh Lindsay.
Brian loved his two sons, David (Yolanda) Lindsay and Donnie Lindsay, who sadly passed away on April 9, 2022.
Brian’s brothers are Ricky Lindsay, Larry Lindsay, Michael Lindsay and sister, Donna Lindsay. His aunt by marriage and sister by heart, Sherry (Rushton) Lindsay.
Brian was predeceased by his loving parents, Leo and Shirley (Roode) Lindsay; his sisters, Pauline Roode and Shirley Lindsay and brother, Randy Lindsay; also his in-laws, Donald and Shirley (Shearer) MacPhee; brother-in-law, Tony Beaton and sister-in-law, Shirley MacPhee
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal shelter of choice.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
