Obituary for
Randall "Randy" Culgin
Culgin, Randall “Randy” Floyd - Age 60, Belmont passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023, in the VG Hospital surrounded by his family.
Randy was born in Belmont on April 12, 1963, to Reginald and Dorothy (Roode) Culgin. He grew up and happily remained in Belmont his whole life. He was a respected community member who was known for his humble acts of kindness, never one to want the limelight.
He started to work with his father at the age of seventeen and eventually took over Culgin Construction Ltd., now in its 51st year. Randy ran the business with integrity and honesty, helping others when he could.
A dedicated father and loving husband who valued his family over everything else. He enjoyed snowmobiling, spending time with his camping friends and weekends at the camp. He loved nothing more than long road trips in his Dutchstar diesel pusher with Stacey.
He is survived by his wife, Stacey (McCully); daughter, Emma; son, Isaac (Bria Harper); parents, Reg and Dorothy; sisters, Joanne Culgin (late Dusty Lindsay), Belinda Culgin (Michael Pickett); his favorite niece, Laura McCully, five nephews and brother-in-law, Shayne McCully.
Donations in Randy’s memory may be made to The Lodge That Gives (Halifax) or the Belmont Cemetery.
