Gerald  Reid
Gerald William Reid - 90, Valley. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Francis and Muriel (McKenna) Reid, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2023 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, Kenneth and George, as well as his sister, Helen.
Surviving siblings include Lilian, Viola and Iloa, along with several nieces and nephews.

A man of profound strength and resilience, Gerald, embodied the values of hard work and determination instilled in him by his upbringing. His silent yet impactful presence resonated with all who had the privilege of knowing him. In 1963, Gerald married the love of his life, Beatrice (Bea) and together they built a life full of love and shared moments.

As a devoted father to daughter, Angelena (Ralph) and a proud grandfather to grandson, Robbie (Amanda).
Gerald's family was the center of his world. Gerald loved old country music, playing his guitar and singing. He enjoyed building things for his family from a house to furniture. Gerald's legacy extends beyond familial bonds. His unwavering work ethic and silent determination were admired by friends and colleagues alike. Generosity flowed from his heart, leaving a positive imprint on the lives he touched.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro.

A graveside service will be held on May 26, 2024 in Bible Hill Cemetery, Bible Hill, NS.
Memorial donations may be made in honor of Gerald to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
