Christopher Langille
Langille, Christopher Dewight – Age 37, Bible Hill. The family is saddened and heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Christopher Dewight Langille on February 21, 2024, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, due to a massive heart attack. He was born on July 17, 1986, in Truro, to Earl Dewight Langille and Carolyn Hamilton Archibald.

Chris was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Evelyn Mabel (Lemond) and Douglas Logan Langille; maternal grandparents, Mae Lillian (Dean) and Cecil Elmer Archibald.

He is survived by his father, Dewight Langille; his mother, Carolyn Archibald; his daughter, Kylie MacLellan and her mother, Chelsey MacLellan; brother, Jason Hamilton; many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

Chris owned and operated his own business, C. Langille Auto Detailing, in Central Onslow. He had many loyal clients, for which he was very grateful. He was a hard worker and took great pride in completing a job for his clients that was nothing but exceptional. Chris was very kind and caring. He always had the time to stop and listen and would help anyone in need.

Chris loved sports and excelled in hockey. He played on local teams including Shearer Construction and Highgrade/28Black. He always looked forward to participating in the annual Austin Memorial Hockey Tournament in Tatamagouche. Chris had a passion for playing as net minder in ball hockey and supported any position on the various baseball teams that he was a part of. Chris loved the camaraderie of playing the game and enjoying the banter after with teammates. Chris also loved his Subaru.

Most importantly, he loved his daughter, “Ky”, with whom he shared a very special bond. Ky was a daddy’s girl and they spent quality time together every day. They made many lasting memories together on their weekend adventures and all special occasions and vacations.

We would like to thank the compassionate and professional treatment from the Bible Hill Fire Brigade First Responders, the many EHS Paramedics and the emergency doctors and nurses at CEHHC. Also, a very large thank you to the members and teammates of the Truro and area hockey associations and friends and family who have so openly donated their time, money, food, messages, phone calls and words of comfort through social media.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a future trust fund set up for Christopher’s daughter, to the Bible Hill Fire Brigade, or a charity of your choice.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 2-4pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. A spring interment will take place in Bible Hill Cemetery.
