Rushton, David “Vernon” – Age 69 of Lornevale, passed away February 27, 2024. He was a son of the late Bamford “Bar” and Mildred (Cooke) Rushton.

Vernon worked many years as a “tandem” truck driver serving several construction companies in Nova Scotia.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Kaulback); sons, Danny (Kristal) Rushton and Terry (Shauna) Kaulback, both of Quesnel, B.C.; grandchildren, Carter, Emmett, McKenly, Harley and Shayla; great grandson, Carson; sisters, Barbie (Bob) Burns, Nora (Chesley) Faulkner; brothers, Layton and Darrell (Lisa).

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by daughter, Donna Fay.

Family flowers only. Vernon had a great respect for the volunteer fire department so donations in his memory may be made to a local fire department of donors’ choice.

There are so many to thank including family, friends, neighbours, and medical staff who attended to Vernon as well as the D.O.T. who assisted the family in getting to the hospital.
