Obituary for Avis Colpitts (McLellan)

Colpitts, Avis Geraldine, 64 of Lower Truro, passed away June 10, 2019 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, Nova Scotia.
She was born in East Noel on August 29, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Delbert McLellan and Hazel McLellan (Densmore).
Avis was a very loving and kind woman. She loved spending quality time with her husband, their 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Over the years Avis enjoyed having a hand in raising neighbourhood children in her home after school hours. She was strong in her faith, compassionate, generous, warm and friendly. She loved fishing and walks in the woods with her husband, gardening, cake decorating, chatting to friends and family on the phone, visiting with her sisters and brothers and sitting around the fire with her family during warm summer nights. Above all, Avis believed that: "Life is a gift, respect it."
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, William "Bill" Colpitts, her children, Maurice (Amanda Bent) Colpitts, grandchild Cynara Phillips, Jolene (Mark) Brown, grandchildren Mia and Brysen Brown, Scottie (Heather MacLean) Colpitts, grandchildren, Harley and soon to be Baby-Colpitts.
