I always thought I was a special friend to Brucie but soon realized he had an uncanny way of making everyone feel special - young and old , family, friend or foe.
Our last conversation centered around reminiscing about how he had publicly protected my integrity when I was under attack and I’ll always cherish that as my greatest memory of the type of person he really was. Truthful, honest, supportive and forthright to the end.
Family is important to all of us and as you morn the loss of your sibling, father and grandfather, draw closer as a family and lean on Jesus , the foundation of our fore parents lives, to carry you through.
In sympathy and love

The first time I met Bruce I thought I was in the company of a great comedian and musician. He was such an entertaining guy and could sing like a pop star! You will be missed Donald "Bruce" Jackson!

To; Kelly, Dianne, Winifred, Marie. Ethel, Mona, and penny Grandchildren . Cousin Brucy will be missed dearly for his kindness to all but mostly for the family gatherings. Many times he would make his way to our house and tell his hilarious notorious stories of the wild west in the deep woods of Nova Scotia . He was the youngest of the poesy party making their way into strange territory for refuge where his adventures would occurred. Not knowing if they would get out together he would tell us these adventures and we would listen intently and laugh so hard sometimes we would be in tears , The sheriff I nick named him one day after meeting him on his job at the mall will be missed by many. I miss our Guitar sessions of days gone by . I miss the day of the dances at the legion when no one knew what break dancing was Bruce did it while we all watched and he put on a show every time.
Cousin Bruce sleeps now waiting for his call of the resurrection as Jesus promised in the Bible when hear the call , he will rise with a strong healthy perfect new body to sing and enjoy life again , I cant wait to see him then .
