Obituary for Donald "Bruce" Jackson

Jackson, Donald “Bruce,” 72 – Truro, died suddenly at home on January 12, 2020. Born, in Truro, he was the son of the late William and Ethel (Jones, Jackson) MacDonald. Bruce enjoyed singing, music and jam sessions, especially at the late Murray Dorrington’s home with the late Frank McKay and friends. In his younger years, he was a boxer and earned the N.S. Boxing Championship title in the 60’s. He also coached in annual baseball tournaments. He is survived by daughter, Diana Clyke; son, Kelly Poulin, both of Truro; sisters, Mona, Ethel, Penny, all of Montreal, Marie, Winnie, both of Truro; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Clara; brothers, William, Edward, Darrell and David. No visitation by request. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, January 17th at 2 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with Pastor Brian O. Johnston officiating.
