Obituary for Anna McNutt

McNutt, Anna, age 87 - Bible Hill. Anna passed away suddenly at home on March 9, 2020. Born in Millvale, she was a daughter of the late Aileen (Stonehouse) and Ralph McMullen. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Elmer. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had many valued friendships that she was thankful for over the years, from her Bible Hill ladies to her quadplex family. She had years of fun and laughter with close friends and camping/music crew, countless memories from Sutherlands Lake where she and Elmer spent over ten years of their retirement years staying young by four wheeling and party barging. She loved her family dearly and proudly supported all they did, cherishing all the gatherings and time spent with her loved ones. Anna and Elmer built their life and family together starting in North River, Bible Hill, Hilden, Sutherland’s Lake and finally returning to where her heart was, Bible Hill. She spent many years volunteering her time at Bible Hill and North River Home and School groups, Sutherland’s Lake Snowmobile Association, on the Board of Stewards for St. David’s Church, as a Messengers leader, Bible Hill Fire Ladies Auxiliary, UCW, Senior Games, countless suppers at the church and fire hall, helping to feed the needy and Bible Hill Village weekly senior card game co-organizer. Anna received a volunteer award from the Village of Bible Hill and was to travel to Halifax in April to receive an award honouring her volunteering. She loved playing cards, listening to music and had a passion for reading spending hours each day enjoying her books. Anna and Elmer loved dancing and watching curling and being with family and friends. Everyone knew what a hard worker she was and that she could run circles around most people half her age. She is survived by her son, Kent, Bible Hill; daughters, Donna (Todd) Gratto, Masstown, Paula (Paul) Richards, Valley, Brenda (John) Morrisey, Valley; grandchildren, Amber, Tara, Carling, Brody, Rayleigh and Chloe; great grandchildren, Noah, Addison, Kash; her sister, Judy Lloy, Collingwood and many nieces and nephews.
