Alcorn, Gregory Steven – age 62, Truro, passed away unexpectedly on May 9, 2020 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. He was born in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba to the late Robert Alcorn and Faye Marion Alcorn. Along with his mother, Gregory is survived by his sons, Michael (Amanda), Jason (Tammy) and Nicholas; grandchildren, Justin, Halie, Angel, Dakota, Faith, Aaliyah, John, Jase, Michelle and Nylah; sister, Jamie Alcorn; brothers, Jack, Jeff, and Glenn. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brother, Jim. In his younger years, Gregory worked for Atlantic Oxygen in Halifax before earning his carpentry license from NSIT in Halifax. He also worked at B.F.I. in Dartmouth for a number of years before returning to carpentry. He had a strong love of music that he passed down to his three sons as he loved to play guitar, banjo and other stringed instruments when they were young. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Vincent de Paul. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
