Obituary for Samuel "Sam" Ward

Samuel "Sam" Ward
Samuel Edward Ward – 49, Camden, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, June 26, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife, Megan (Hollingsworth) and adored daughter, Averie. His parents: Cecil and Betty; sisters, Cheryl (Robert), Isabel (Reiner), Joann (Paul), Karla (Pete). His In-laws: Ken and Valerie; mother in law, Brenda; sister in law, Sara; various nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles.

Sam had a passion and zest for life that was unmeasurable. He loved hugely; racing, snowmobiles, old cars, his friends and most of all, his family. “Sammy’s” contagious laughter, sense of adventure, soft-spoken ways, kind heart and twinkle in his eye will be missed by all who knew and loved him. If he wasn’t in his garage under a car or at the race track, you could always see him going in the big black S.E.W. truck. He was always on the move and would lend a hand to any and all that needed it. Sam owned and operated a successful mobile hydraulic business for the last 15 years.

Sam and Megan started their life together 18 years ago, tied the knot 12 years ago and welcomed their daughter Averie, the Apple of Sam’s eye, into their lives ten years ago. Together with Megan, they built their dream home 4 years ago in Camden, which included his ultimate man cave; he finally had a garage worthy of all his hard work. Their family became complete two years ago with the addition of their dog; Herc, who will miss his treat smuggling, trick teaching buddy.
Sam will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an Education Fund being set up for Averie. This may be done through the funeral home.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, where online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.ColchesterCommunity.com
