Obituary for Gerald Beazley

Beazley, Gerald Ronald – Age 91, River John.
It is with deepest sadness that we share the news of our Dad’s passing at the age of 91 on November 9, 2020
Born August 13, 1929, he was the son of the late Harold and Susan Beazley.
Dad married the love of his life, Anne and together they built their home in White’s Lake where they raised their three children.
Dad retired from the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission in 1992 and retired in River John, Pictou County.
Dad loved country life. Summers would find him picking berries and spending many hours in his garden. When fall arrived he would be in the woods, hunting. He cherished the fact that he was able to pass along his knowledge of hunting to Don and his grandsons, Ryan and Keith, along with his hunting stories.
He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Anne, and his spirit is carried on by his children, Larry (Susan), Ken (Susan), Alma (Don); five grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley), Keith (Melissa), Amanda (Taylor), Michael and Emily; six great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Max, Betty, Kaeley, Victoria and Daniella, as well as three surviving siblings and an extended family of relation and friends.
Thank you goes out to the extraordinary staff at The Mira for their care given to Dad for the past six years, along with a special thank you to George Heighton, for his unending friendship.
At Dad’s request, cremation has taken place. No Visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.ColchesterCommunity.com
