Obituary for Clarissa "Anne" Miller

Miller, Clarissa “Anne” – Age 84, Truro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at home. Born in Truro she was a daughter of the late Louise (Flemming) Hardy.

Anne was a member of Brunswick Street United Church. She loved having people visit her. When raising her family on Tor Street, her home was a revolving door of family and friends! Anne loved her children and grandchildren and was very supportive of all their endeavours. She made beautiful brown bread and was a wonderful knitter. You never caught her at home if she could be out with family and friends on a road trip. Anne was the “family’s rock” - a very strong, brave and kind lady that would help anyone in need.

Anne is survived by children, Janice (Stephen) Groves, Cindy Crowell (Gerry), both of Onslow, Sharon Miller, Truro, James (Heather) Miller, Westville; grandchildren, Allyson Groves, Brady Groves, Michael (Danielle) Crowell, Jenna Crowell, Aaron Gratto, Mitchell Gratto, Cole Miller, Megan Miller, Kyle Gratto and great grandson, Carter Gratto; sister, Nancy (Darrel) Hutt and brother, Doug (Crystal) Burgess; several nieces and nephews and special friends. Mom was predeceased by and now reunited in heaven with her husband, our Dad, Freeman Miller. She was also predeceased by brothers, Larry, Dave, Teddy and Ronnie.

Donations in Anne’s memory may be made to Breast Cancer Society of Canada, 415 Exmouth St., Unit 101, Sarnia, ON, N7T 8A4.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, March 25th from 1-2pm with a private family service to follow at 2pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, NS, with Rev.
