Goodwin, Laurie Elizabeth – Age 67, Masstown. It is with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Laurie Goodwin, after losing her battle with breast cancer on March 21, 2021.

She was born on July 31, 1953 in Matapédia, Quebec to Freda and Ted Caldwell. Laurie was passionate about her family, cooking and crafts. She had a love of animals, especially for her cat, Sasha Dawn.
Laurie is survived and missed dearly by her partner in life, Donald Dahr; sons, Paul and Josh; daughter, Shannon (Travis); step-daughter, Rachel (Andrew); step-son, Donald (Stephen); grandchildren, Ty, Liam, Jeremy, Johnathan, Christian, Tyler, Bryanna and Gabriel; great granddaughter, Zowie; brother, Billy and sisters, Nan, Lynn and BJ along with many nieces and nephews. Laurie was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Bobby and Harry and sisters, Gayle, Glenda, Judy, Helen, Fran and Kathy.

Laurie put up a brave fight and heaven now has another Angel. We would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Smith, Angela and the entire Palliative VON team for their care and compassion in the short time that they cared for our mother.

Donations in Laurie’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
