Condolence From: Vince Kennedy
Condolence: The Lockhart Family - I write to express to you and your family the sincere condolences of the Patricia’s on the passing of Paul Lockhart. The Regiment remembers his early service, and the family I am sure are proud of that service. His name will be read in this year’s list of the lost when we read that out on November 11th, 2021 in the Sacred Space in Beechwood, the National Military Cemetery, Ottawa. Paul's name will also be listed in the 2021 edition of the Patrician’s Last Post section.

Thank you all.

Brigadier-General Vince Kennedy (Retired)
Colonel of the Regiment
Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry

Condolence: Paul was my friend at CFB Chatham when I was around 10 years old. One day he and I went fishing ... walked down Highway 11 to the Napan River. Yes, kids were allowed to do unsupervised stuff like that in 1972. We were loaded down with fishing gear and probably looked like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting. A tourist stopped his car and got out with a very professional looking SLR camera and asked if he could take our picture ... we obliged. Somebody somewhere has what is probably a very good photo of two little kids with way too much fishing gear, and I don't think we actually caught anything. Deepest condolences to the family.

Condolence: I was saddened and shocked to learn of Paul's passing. Paul and I went to high school together and spent time on the track and field team where we shared alot of laughs. What I recall most about Paul is that he was genuine and real. There was no pretense with Paul. He was who he was. We had recently reconnected and I was happy to her he was in Truro as I am in Halifax. We had planned to get together for a coffee sometime. Rest in Peace my friend.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to Paul's family and friends. I went to school with Paul in Chatham in the early 70's. We are the same age by one day. Paul was a great guy and had a great sense of humour. The memories of him will forever be a blessing.

Condolence: Oh Paul, the opportunity for me to meet the man who made my best friend Lisa the happiest I have ever seen her never presented itself and what a loss for me. The kind caring compassionate, adventurous, fun loving man that you were showed through every word Lisa spoke of you. The love and memories the two of you shared and built in the past few years is something most will never get to experience and you showed this to Lisa. I am so very sorry that the life the two of you had planned was taken so soon but please know in your absence I will do my best to take care of her clearly not in the way you did but no one can do that. You sounded like and absolutely wonderful all around human being who had such a zest for life, love, and your precious daughter Zelda. Lisa I am so very sorry for the loss of what was meant to be your life partner and to Zelda, hunny I am so very sorry for the loss of your dad. Please know in your heart you were the reason your dad took his first breathe in the morning and his last breathe at night. The closeness you and your dad shared was something only a dad and his princess can understand. My heart hurts for Paul's family and may you all find comfort in knowing others are thinking of you during this time xxoo

Condolence: What a shock to hear of your sudden passing. You were my first love and I was yours, but after several years we went our separate ways maintaining a close and unique friendship.  I am so very thankful for our relationship all these years, for your support, compassion and your sense of humour.  You could always make me laugh during our many wonderful talks.  I will miss you dearly, but know I will think of you often and the memories will make me smile. Rest in peace, Paul.

Kelly, please know you were your Dad's pride and joy. He loved you with all his being and his voice reflected this when he spoke of you. My sincere condolences to all Paul's family and friends.

Condolence: Oh my love. 💗💗💗💗 what can I say? You filled my life with love, joy, plans, adventures, similar core values to love and cherish family, and to share adventures. You healed a heart that was previously broken, and I healed your past hurts as well. Your silly tricks, ditties, songs, card tricks, funny faces and imagination always had me laughing!! Your love and pride for Zelda compared to no other love. Our plans for the future filled our conversations with an anticipation of school kids being giddy. You loved me purely, truly and entirely. Rest easy, my love. Until we meet again , I will make you proud and keep your memories alive.
I love you baby,
Forever and always ❤💕💓
