Obituary for Jacob Bragg
Bragg- Jacob William- Age 87, Truro. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jacob William Bragg on November 11, 2022, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Born on August 27, 1935, he was a son of the late Edgar and Emma Bragg.
Jacob was born and raised in Grand Falls, Newfoundland, into a loving family as one of fourteen children. In his later years, he began working at Abitibi-Price paper mill before relocating to settle here in Truro. Jacob loved music; from playing the banjo, fiddle, and even the guitar. There was nothing like music and a good kitchen party. However, more than anything, Jacob loved spending time with his family and friends.
Jacob is survived by his wife Beatrice (Roach) Bragg; daughters, Shirley Bragg of Yarmouth, Vera (Tom) Bragg of Truro, Michelle (Trevor) Louise of Truro, Madonna Bragg of Ontario, Crystal (Erin) Mackenzie of Truro; sons, Bruce (Diane) Bragg of Amherst and Maurice Bragg of Londonderry; sister, Carrie, and brother, Johnny (Rosie) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Jacob was predeceased by his first wife, Olive (Jean) Bragg, as well as many brothers and sisters.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, NS. A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
