Clarice Mira  Murray (Clark)
Murray, Clarice M., 84, Truro passed away peacefully surrounded by family October 5, 2016 in the Aberdeen General Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Meadowville, Pictou Co., she was the last surviving member of her family and the daughter of the late Roderick and Isabel (Elliott) Clark. Clarice was a retired teacher of 33 years and this was the joy of her life being surpassed only by the love for her grandchildren. She graduated from Pictou Academy and Truro Normal College and taught throughout Pictou and Colchester Counties, retiring from East Court Road Elementary School. She was a member of the Dorcas UCW, St. David’s United Church, member of Rebekah Lodge #15, member of the Retired Teacher’s Association and the Bible Hill Card Club for over 50 years. She loved playing scrabble, cards and doing needlepoint. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her children, Gary (Daphne), Milford, Brian, Liverpool, Kevin (Donna Lynn) Cody, Wyoming, Kenda (Andrew) Frizell, Valley; grandchildren, Eric, Sean, Jeffrey, Bradley, Sam, Luke, Jake and Baillie; sisters-in-law, Olive Clark, Anne Gullickson; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth; brother, Allister and also an infant brother. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, October 7 from 6-8 pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 8 at 2 pm in St. David’s United Church, Pictou Road, Bible Hill with Rev. Donna Lawrence officiating. Interment in Bible Hill Cemetery.
