Blanche  Peters
Blanche Peters (Butler) – 95, Truro, passed away December 21, 2016 in QEII Camp Hill Veteran’s Memorial Building, Halifax. Born April 9, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel (King) Butler. Blanche served for many years with the Canadian Armed Forces working in both Halifax and Ottawa. She was a member of the United Church of Canada. Blanche was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by brother in law, Hal Swain, Regina, Sask. As well as sister in law, Daphne Butler, NFLD. Besides her parents, Blanche was predeceased by her husband, Bert; brother, Harold and sister, Alma. A special appreciation to the staff of 6 W. at the Camp Hill for the exceptional care shown to Blanche. A Graveside Service and Interment will be held in the Spring in Gays River Cemetery. Donations in Blanche’s memory may be made to the Gays River Cemetery Fund (C/O Darrell Fitzgerald, Old Courthouse Branch Rd., Truro, N.S. B6L 3X3) or charity of choice.
