To Shelly's Family,
We at The Edgemont were all so shocked to hear of Shelly's sudden and untimely death and you have all been very much in our thoughts since then.
The staff arranged a lovely memorial service for Shelly, yesterday and I wish she could have seen the chapel filled to overflowing into the corridor with residents and staff remembering her.
She was so efficient and kind and bright and her care made my move here eighteen months ago so much easier. I'd always hoped she'd end up back her again one day to brighten our days but it was not to be.
I have a blond daughter just Shelly's age and a granddaughter just a year or so younger than Shelly's youngest. Somehow they've always been sort of mixed together in my mind even though life has been so much kinder and easier for my family. I can't imagine how my granddaughter would cope without her mum. I wish you all strength and love to help one another.

Condolence: I am writing on behalf of all the nurses and residents here at the Edgemont who were touched by Shelly's bright spirit. We were all so shocked and saddened that we decided to hold a memorial service. About 25 residents and all the the staff met in our chapel and shared memories, prayers and hymns. We had planned to play a recorded version of Amazing Grace as everyone filed out but everyone spontaneously started to sing in such a heart felt way that we all stayed seated until the end. Many hearts join with yours and like you we will never forget her

Condolence: My deepest condolences, Shelley was my friend through our teenage years that carried over for many more years into adult hood, we had many many laughs and fun times together, she was a gem in my life and i'm sure she was in others as well, my heart goes out to the family. Rest in peace my friend!

Condolence: Please accept our deepest sympathy to all the family. It is hard at a time like this and understanding is the hardest. Concentrate on the good times. Time heals all wounds.
