Obituary for Joseph "Andy" Devine

Devine, Joseph Madie (Andy) – 96, Middle Stewiacke. Announcing the passing of Joseph Madie (Andy) Devine on June 19, 2019 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. He was born to the late Henry and Sadie (Hebert) Devine on April 3, 1923 in Joggins Mines, N.S. Madie is survived by sons, Tony (Carolyn), Amherst, Bruce (Jeannie), Tidnish, Terry (Bonnie), Amherst. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by daughter, Linda, in infancy; sons, Bryce and David; sisters, Geniveve Miller, Boston, MA, and Ester Bristol, Kennebunk, ME. Madie was a WWII Veteran serving in the Canadian Provost Corp. He was a member of the Amherst Police Department and later with the CN Police in Moncton, Truro, Charlottetown and Amherst until his retirement. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Cremation has taken place. No visitation or service by request.
