Obituary for Jeffrey "Jeff" Maxwell

Jeffrey "Jeff" Maxwell
Jeff Maxwell – 61, Londonderry
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful husband, brother, uncle and friend on Friday, April 3, 2020 at home after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Jeff was born in Truro, the son of the late Peter and Muriel (Blaikie) Maxwell.

Jeff was a well-known and honest mechanic in Truro for over 40 years, owning and operating Maxwell’s Service Centre until retiring in 2019. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and four wheeling with Shelley and was an avid Cannabis grower. Jeff was a kind and caring person who would help anyone in need. He was an honorary member of the Truro and District Lions Club.

Survived by his wife, Shelley (Brown), who never left his side; brother, Bruce (Maritza), Truro; sister-in-law, Sherree (Dana), Upper Stewiacke; brother-in-law, Laurie (Nancy), Stewiacke; nieces, Samantha and Carla; nephews, Daniel, Brian, Mitchell, Cameron and Carlos; great nieces, Mikalah, Jaelyn and Kelsey; great nephew, Rylee. He will also be dearly missed by his dog, “Finley.”

Besides his parents, Jeff was predeceased by brother-in-law, Larry.

The family would like to thank the V.O.N. and the Palliative Care Team for the great care and kindness they gave Jeff and his family.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro.

A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at a later date.

Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (5826 South St, Halifax, NS B3H 1S6).
