Condolence: I first met Elizabeth at the East Hants Community Learning Association in Elmsdale about a decade ago, where she taught adults and children in family literacy programs with equal joy and compassion. She was funny, quick witted, always upbeat, and one of the most creative people I have ever known. I am very sorry to hear of her passing. My condolences to her family.

Condolence: When I was in elementary school, Bissy brought Caley to stay at Laura MacLeod’s house on Quinn St in Halifax. He was very young, then. I recall an accident in her Beetle that nearly cost their lives. Bissy was an extraordinary person, who made an impression on such a young girl. My condolences.
