Condolences

Condolence From: Jennifer Wood
Condolence: Great Aunt Marg was a force in our family. She was very smart, asked pointed questions and thoroughly enjoyed discussing many topics. Most importantly, she really enjoyed hearing about what was happening in our lives. I feel very lucky to have had such an amazing woman in my family.

Condolence: Sorry to hear of Marg's passing, but glad that she had a long, life, well-lived. John and I last visited with her on Labour Day last year. Over the years we had many happy visits and were especially glad to attend her 100th birthday party. Sad to think that she's gone; the last of that generation for our family.

Condolence: My sincerest condolences to Marg's family upon her passing. She was a wonderful lady and I was blessed to have known her, spent time with her, and to have called her a very dear friend. I very much enjoyed my visits with Brownie to her home in Truro. She was an inspiration to many and will be missed.

Sincerely,
Jane McCaslin & family,

Condolence: You will be greatly missed Aunt Marg. You visited Brockville many times to see your brother Bertie and Reid & I and our girls Alesha & Kristin were truly the ones who benefited from those visits. The time you stayed with us when Bertie was failing is a time we remember fondly. We had the best conversations with you and I don’t think there was a subject that you weren’t well versed in. When you left for home the house felt empty. We are very thankful for the memories we have.

Condolence: I remember her fondly from NSTU. She was an excellent teacher as you felt her guidance in a positive way . I remember spending many nights making a collection of poetry that I could use in the classroom . I was very proud of the amount I had collected. When going over the project with her , she says “A good collection but which ones do you really like .. those are the ones your students will too “.. that lesson stayed me. RIP Mrs Mackenzie

Condolence: Mrs MacKenzie is the teacher for whom I had the most respect both as a grade one teacher and then again as my English teacher at the Nova Scotia Teachers College. She was a strong woman with high principles. She encouraged others to be the very best they could be and to have self respect and pride in themselves.I am happy she had a long life with her great mind still alert. Those who knew her have been fortunate to have had her in their lives.
