Woodman, Walter Henry -Age 82, Bible Hill, NS. It is with sadness, the family of Walter Woodman announces his passing on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. He was born in Falmouth, NS to the late Walter and Cora Woodman.

Walter is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Sarah; his children, Stephen (Heidi), Fall River, Catherine (Randy), Windsor and Mark, Windsor; stepchildren, Roseann (Ken) MacKenzie, Amherst, Alison ( Randy) Lindsay, Truro; eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren; brothers, Cyril, Windsor, Keith (Lenore), Falmouth and Garnet (Betty), Manitoba; sister, Doreen, Stellarton, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his stepdaughter, Susan Noiles; brothers, Ralph, Johnny, Percy, Earl and sisters, Elsie and Glenna.

Walter was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Along with his one true love, Sarah, they enjoyed years of camping and were members of Hub Campers in Truro. He also had a passion for participating in Lodge work, with many years spent as a member of the Pisiquid Lodge in Windsor, the Windsor Encampment as well as the Odd Fellows Lodge of Truro. Walter was a veteran of the Windsor Fire Department, with 20 years of service and a member of the Falmouth United Baptist Church.

Walter delivered the mail and the Chronicle Herald in the Falmouth area for many years. He also drove a school bus and worked as a security guard in Windsor. Walter loved meeting people and sharing a story or two with them. He enjoyed singing and playing country music on his guitar and sharing a dance with Sarah.

Cremation has taken place. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, interment will take place in Falmouth at a later date. Donations in Walter’s memory may be made to the Falmouth United Baptist Church, 404 Town Rd., Falmouth, NS B0P 1L0 or Colchester SPCA.
