Obituary for Vaughan Kellock

Vaughan Kellock
Kellock, Vaughan Clifford – Age 61, Truro. It is with heavy hearts that the family of Vaughan Kellock announces his sudden death on Monday, December 27, 2021 in the Palliative Care Unit of Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Words cannot express how much he was truly loved by his family and friends.

Vaughan was born October 9, 1960 in Truro to Herdman and the late Mary Elizabeth (Pettipas) Kellock. He grew up in Salmon River attending local schools and was employed by the Town of Truro for 30 years.

Vaughan always had a smile, he liked to tease just to make you laugh. He was confident, a team leader, an avid sports player in his youth and loved football, but most of all, he loved his two sons, Lucas and Zachary. Vaughan and his brother, Paul, were super “tight” right to the end.
From his son, Lucas, “I lost my father due to a battle with cancer, another one gone too soon. He stayed positive and kept his sense of humour right to the end.”

Vaughan was predeceased by his sister, Shirley Marie (2006) and mother, Mary (2017).

He is survived by his father, Herdie, Salmon River; sons, Lucas, Belmont, Zachary, Truro; brother, Paul, Truro; sisters, Heidi (Daniel Laliberte), Boutilier’s Point and Grace, Tucson, Arizona, USA.

Donations in Vaughan’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service of remembrance by invitation only will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, NS. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.ColchesterCommunity.com
