Condolence: Dear Wendy, Larry & Families-

I was deeply saddened to read in the Chronicle Herald that Gwen has passed away. Gwen was such a lovely, sweet, pleasant and talented lady. Both your mum and dad were wonderful next door neighbors.

Gwen was a terrific seamstress and when I was married in 1964 she made my flower girl's dress. The first year I worked at the Truro Hospital, not having a car, I would walk "up town" and drive home with your dad. I know my mum and dad (Murray & Jean Gunn) were so sorry to lose them as neighbors when they moved from Miller Road to Greenfield.

After moving to Windsor in 1964 I didn't see your mum and dad that often but sometimes when we were in Truro we would go to a dance with mum and dad and would see Gwen there. She did love to dance!

I know you, like myself, will cherish many wonderful memories of the two dear friends that lived next door to us.

Thinking of you with loving thoughts and sincere sympathy. Hugs,

Karen (Gunn) Rowlands

Condolence: Dear Wendy, Larry & families - Our deepest sympathy in the loss of your dear Mother. Gwen was a very dear friend over the years as we attended many dances together. Oh how she loved to dance! I spent many hours at her home and yes she made the best chocolate chip cookies & yes, she loved chocolate. I was the recipient of many items she sewed for me & I still have all of them. Gwen will be missed by many.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Cherish all your special memories. God bless,
Frances & Jim

Condolence: Dear Wendy, Larry & families,
We were sorry to read of Gwen’s passing. She truly was a kind gentle soul. Our band still wears some of the kilts and jackets that your Mum made many years ago. I have lots of good memories of time spent at your house and your Mum’s kindness. She was a special lady. Thinking of you all ❤️
