Condolence From: Bonnie and Peter Cameron
Condolence: My mom, Edith Burns and Mrs. Perry used to walk together with Louise and I in our carriages. And our family have
known the Perry's since they lived on Jackson Road. My sister went thru school with Mabel. And Frankie has stayed at our home in Thomson Station. I wanted to send our sincere condolences to Mabel and her family.
Our deepest sympathy, Bonnie and Peter Cameron

Condolence: If someone were to ask me who was Ray williams I would not hestitate to say he was not only my brother-in-law but my friend. We had a friendship that began when I was only a boy and lasted till the day he passed away. I have lost many relatives and friends in my lifetime and it hurt to say goodbye to each one for I loved them all. Saying goodbye to Ray though was a little harder for I not only loved Ray as a member of my family, I admired and respected him for so many life lessons and experiences he shared with me over the years. Too many to mentions so all I will say is thank you old friend for always being there for me and I hope to see you again some day...Felix

Condolence From: Louise Roach
Condolence: What can I say that has not already been said . When Ray decided he wanted to come home to live . We were overjoyed . Once they found their new home , Pat and I tried to make their home comfortable , as they came back with very little . We were fortunate to be able to take Mabel and Ray on some nice week end trips . We were very fortunate to have been able to spend so much time with him over the past few years . I took him on a day trip with me one winter . Of course I got lost and we ended up on a dirt road , which was a sheet of ice . I asked him if he was scared and he said " no you are doing good " . Good that he had faith in me . I eventually got back on track , we found a restaurant and had a very much needed rest . Miss you . We will take care of Mabel for you . Love you always .

Condolence: It is with a heavy heart to see the passing of Ray my father-in-law. Even before I came to be part of the family I knew Ray in Prince George when we were both part of YellowHead Rotary. Ray could be know for his dry sense of humour and quick wit at the meetings. Always one to jump in, I remember Ray always having a apron on to help out at Rotary dinners and fundraisers. After we both left Prince George who would have know that fate would bring us together when I met his beautiful and talented daughter Angela. Well as the story goes, From fellow Rotarian to son in law I joined the Williams family. At the reception of our wedding, Ray stood and welcomed me to the Williams clan, and thus started my journey with Ray. Ray would always back me in any discussion with his resounding phrase “ absolutely” when I would look to him to back me up. Ray was never one to turn down a trip anywhere as he enjoyed an adventure. He also enjoyed moving …. A lot and I mean a lot. Many people would always ask why Angela moved so much when she was a child. My reply “ they were in the witness protection program”, and left it at that.

As I said Ray was always up for an adventure. It was several years ago when I asked Ray to accompany me when I had to cruise my boat 30 miles down Okanagan Lake to bring it home. Well as all mariners know the weather always looks good when you commence a trip but it wasn’t long before the wind came up and the water turned nasty. Although our vessel was 30 feet long, it wasn’t long that a 1.5 hour trip would be 4 hours. With water coming over the bow and the vessel heaving to and fro - Ray sat in his seat - looking sternly forward. I don’t know if he was worried , had great faith in me as a skipper, but he never showed any concern.. however I can tell you it was one heck of a ride .. I was nervous the whole time till we got to our marina. That was just how Ray was. Ray also taught me how to stand and up for bad service or quality. If it didn’t measure up say something. Well I tried his strategy and wow .. did it ever work. Since then I was never was one to accept substandard service at a restaurant or store. Thank you Ray.

People come into your life for a reason, Ray came into mine to give me some life lessons, appreciate the wonderful daughter that Mabel and he brought into the world, value every day that you can and not to forget to tease the sales clerk at the stores and pharmacy.

I will miss you Ray.. but don’t worry I will look after the girls for you.

Your son in law

Randy

Condolence: Raymond helped me make some memories shortly after High School. I met up with Ray, Mabel and Angela in Toronto that summer and traveled with them across the top of the states, staying in a cottage on Lake Michigan. Then it was on to Edmonton where I stayed with them for several months. Ray gave me a job at his office dis-mantling some office dividers. They took me camping into the mountains and introduced me to some of their friends. I loved Ray's skill at the bar-b-q and acquired my love for mushrooms as Ray served them often. That was a great summer. Thanks for those memories and many others. You will be missed Ray. Love ya big guy.
