Condolence: My heart goes out to you both, Jonathan and Catherine on the loss of your dad. As Frank’s girlfriend at the time, I had seen a lot of your mom and dad after they moved to Minudie. You Jonathan were a cute, cheerful little tike and Catherine you were a beautiful young girl.

Your dad, along with Frank, worked tirelessly with the sheep. Your dad had such a passion for his farm. Wayne taught Frank how to sheer sheep, so well in fact, that Frank won a provincial sheep shearing contest the only year he participated. He was the fastest sheep shearer in NS. He and Wayne had lots of practice.

Whenever you met up with Wayne, he always had a huge smile on his face with lots of pearly whites showing…always smiling about something. And Glenys was a phenomenal cook, I loved staying over for meals at your home. She knew a lot about everything. They were a fantastic, fun couple together. Wonderful eulogy Jonathan.

Condolence: Kim, Ben, Jonathan, Catherine, Jack, Jewel, Conrad and Eddie - I was sad to hear of Wayne's passing, last I saw him he was walking a good clip along Prince St. For a couple of years we had fun, playing Bridge, exploring parks for big trees, watching birds and the tides. Of course always with the background of his stories of Elysian Farms. May you find comfort in the fond memories, and that he is resting in peace.

Condolence: Wayne was a weekly visitor to a local print shop for photocopies of his musings and pre-campaign literature for the Terry Fox Run. We enjoyed his wit and knowledge and admired his dedication. All transactions were concluded with a handshake. My sincere condolences to his family.

Condolence: Jonathan and family
Our sincere condolences on the passing of your Dad; when you sent us the news on Monday it was really sad and it certainly a shock, However, as you so rightly said, he is in a better place and for that we are thankful. His earlier years spent on the farm showed his tireless efforts to provide for his family and that same determination and work ethic continued throughout his life. Wayne was unique and that uniqueness made him who he was; a kind hearted, dedicated volunteer who devolution and passion he displayed for the Terry Fox run cause was unmatched. We are all much better off, due to Wayne’s efforts.
Quite simply he was a just a good person and he will be greatly missed.
A life well lived and a rest so richly deserved, may he rest in peace.
God Bless.
Cheryl and Terry French

Condolence: I first met Wayne and his brother Kim, in the mid 1970s, after I was appointed Ag. Rep. for the N.S. Department of Agriculture & Marketing, in Cumberland County. I admired Wayne's intelligence and his ability to operate a large scale sheep & cattle operation and his efforts in marketing the livestock outside the region.

He came into my memory just recently, as I also admired his efforts in fundraising, on behalf of the Terry Fox Foundation. Nova Scotia has benefited from Wayne having relocated here, from Saskatchewan.

My sincere condolences to his family, as you continue your own journeys along the roadway of life.

Condolence: We had enjoyed Wayne’s friendship around the bridge table for several years. Unfortunately Covid interrupted this social time. We often would drive him to his apartment after a game certainly only when he had walked his desired kilometres for the day. He was well known in the Truro downtown area through his regular walk schedule. He spoke often of his family and their accomplishments. I was particularly interested when he would talk of Catherine’s work. We were admirers of his efforts with the Terry Fox foundation and his dedication to this organization. He was a valued member of the bridge club and will be missed. Our condolences to you.
Sincerely, Jamie and Mary Jean Muir
