Maurice "Morris"  Graham
Graham, Maurice “Morris” Elliot – Age 61, Bible Hill. The family of Maurice Elliot Graham are saddened to announce his unexpected death on September 24, 2023, at his home in Bible Hill.

Born in Elliot Lake, ON, Maurice and his family moved to Glenholme in 1976. While living there, he worked at Camper’s Villa, where he could often be heard blaring the song, “Barracuda” and was known by the nicknames, “Teeks” and “Teekoms.” He also bicycled from Glenholme to Highland Village to do bodywork on cars.

While attending Cobequid Educational Centre, Maurice went on a Grade 10 school trip to Switzerland in 1978 and from then on, continued to love travel and adventure. He attended Bible College in Peterborough, ON, but returned to Nova Scotia where he worked for 36 ½ years with the Department of Agriculture in Bible Hill where he was known by his co-workers as, “Moe.” He was a valued employee who was always willing to help others and was meticulous with his work.

He was an avid cyclist taking part in many races and also cycling the Cabot Trail.

Maurice was a kind soul with a huge heart and began volunteering when he was young. He was involved with the dragon boat races, Tall Ships, the United Way, the Big Bike Ride for Heart and Stroke and other events.

He is survived by brothers, Frankie and Russell; sister, Ellamaria; sister-in-law, Nancy Harrington; nieces, Amanda and Jennifer; nephews, Jonathon, Chance and Jason and several great nieces and nephews. Special acknowledgement goes out to his nephew, Chance Graham, who shared a special bond with his uncle. His sister-in-law, Nancy Harrington will greatly miss his hugs, love and acceptance.

Maurice was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Effie Graham.

A special thank you is sent out to the neighbour who did the wellness check and all who responded.
Maurice will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Maurice’s Life will take place on Sunday, October 29th from 2-6pm in the River View Room (Dal – NSAC), 10 Horseshoe Crescent, Bible, NS.
