Arnold "Sam" Works – Age 73, Truro Heights. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Arnold "Sam" Works of Truro Heights Road on October 20, 2023, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre with his family by his side.

Sam was the son of the late Perlie and Madeline (Patterson) Works.

After retirement from Stanfield’s of 42 years, you could find Sam tinkering around in his shed doing some woodworking. He would always leave the shed doors open in case anyone wanted to stop in with coffee, borrow a tool, stand around telling stories or share a few laughs and tell a few jokes.

Sam is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marian (O'Connell); daughter, Stacey (Rodney) Brenton, Brookfield; granddaughter, Samantha Brenton; sisters, Phyllis (Rick) MacNutt, Truro Heights, Sharon (Richard) Cotter, Brookfield and Lynn Works, Truro.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Tracey, in infancy.

Donations in Sam's memory may be made to Hope for Wildlife, as he and his two special girls shared their love for animals.

The family would like to thank Dr. Rowe, Dr. Farrell, the Truro Palliative Care Team and VON for their care.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 25th at 2 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
