Obituary for Margaret "Peggy" Ross (Stevenson)
Ross, Margaret “Peggy” Mae (Stevenson), Age 79, Truro, passed away on November 6, 2023, in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in Truro on September 10, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Blanche (Crocker) Stevenson.
Peggy worked at Brookfield Creamery for five years and then later at Crossley Karastan Carpet Mill for 45 years, until her retirement at age 70. She loved sports, especially the Montreal Canadiens, the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees.
Peggy is survived by her sons, Arthur “Duke” and Andy Ross; sister, Nancy (Paul) Blaikie; granddaughters, Andrea and Tessa; great granddaughter as well as her former husband, Art Ross.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Judy; brothers, Sonny and Duke.
Donations in Peggy’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service at her request. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, NS. Online condolences may be made at www.ColchesterCommunity.com.
