Murphy, Eloise Evelyn (Stevens) – Age 85 of Onslow. It is with heavy hearts that the family of Eloise Evelyn Murphy announces her passing on Saturday, March 2, 2024. Born in Debert, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Hilda (Roode) Stevens.

Eloise was a long-time registered nurse, graduating in 1959. She worked at the Aberdeen Hospital, the Colchester Regional Hospital and Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, eventually retiring from York Manor in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Herman; daughter, Janice Dore; sister, Carol Hudson; grandchildren, Frances, Rose Marie and Shaun.

Besides her parents, Eloise was predeceased by her sister, Judy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VON, Colchester East Hants Branch or Brunswick Street United Church.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St, Truro. Rev. John Parsons officiating.
