Shearer, Margaret Mary – Age 78, of Belmont, passed away on March 22, 2024, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax on November 29, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (McCormick) Muise.

Mom will be missed by her daughter, Joanne; sons; Jerry (Linda) and Elmer; stepdaughters, Barb and Carol; stepson, Dale; grandchildren, Dalton (Chloe), Christian, Megan, Keegan, Madison, Dylan, Jared, Jalyssa (Jen), Joey, Shawn, Patrick, Michelle, Becky, DJ, Melissa, Curtis; sisters, Gail (David), Debbie, Bonnie, Denise, Donna (Darrell), Janet (Tony); brothers, Alfred (Shirley), Norman (Darlene), Greg (Colleen), Robert and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Sr.; son, Terry; grandsons, Dustin (in infancy), Austin; brothers, Ernie, Arthur, Paul, David; sisters, Betty, Diane (in infancy) and fur baby, Max.

Mom worked at various places throughout her life, including Berry’s Motel, Bagnell’s Drycleaners and Kohler.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially when everyone gathered for Sunday dinner with all the fixings. Mom loved flowers, baking bread and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. We will love and miss her forever.

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Colchester East Hants Health Centre for all they did for Mom. Thank you to Uncle Greg as well for everything he did and is still doing for Mom.
